Maui 2010

To celebrate being done with residency and Josh starting his real job we decided to take the family (minus Piper) on a vacation. Piper stayed with both grandmas for a few days while we were away.

The boys did a great job on the five hour plane ride to Hawaii. They couldn't have been better.

Every morning I was wide awake at 4am, thanks to the 3 hour time difference. Luckily Miles is an early riser and was more than happy to go on an early morning walk. We did this every morning while the others slept in.

Day 1: Playing at the Kaanapali Beach. The boys loved the waves and playing in the sand.

Exploring the little town of Lahaina. Finn really wanted a flower lei. The other 2 soon wanted one too.

Day 2: Snorkelling and Boogie Boarding at Baby Beach

Getting ready for the Luau at the Royal Lahaina Resort.

The one night it rained was the night we had decided to go to a Luau. It rained off and on throughout the Luau. Notice the plastic ponchos. Despite the rain, it was still a great night.

Finn learning to hula.

Josh was happy to see I had snapped a few photos of his favorite dancer!

Day 3: Snorkel Cruise and Dolphin scouting boat ride.

The first half of the trip was great. We snorkeled, ate lunch, enjoyed the ocean, and had fun being together as a family. After a few hours of being on the boat we all felt a bit queasy... 3 out of the 5 of us lost our lunch before the ride was over. We were all glad to see land again.

Enjoying the sunset in Lahaina. Josh and I had our picture taken here 10 years ago on our honeymoon.

Day 4: Our last day at the beach. The trip went too fast but we needed to get home to Piper. I am already looking forward to coming again, whenever that may be...
